Sequence and acetylation status remain unconfirmed for this listing. Ac-LKKTETQ and full-length thymosin beta-4 are different materials; the name TB-500 alone does not resolve identity.
Not for human or veterinary administration. Listed strength is a supplied specification; see the matching batch report for measured results.
An analytical study identified Ac-LKKTETQ, the acetylated seven-amino-acid fragment corresponding to residues 17–23 of thymosin beta-4, in material sold as TB-500. This fragment is distinct from the full-length thymosin beta-4 peptide. A 2024 study followed the fragment and its metabolites in laboratory systems and rats, then compared their activity in a fibroblast wound-closure assay. Significant activity in that assay was reported for the metabolite Ac-LKKTE, rather than the parent TB-500. The findings make chemical identity central to interpreting the literature and do not support transferring full-length thymosin beta-4 outcomes to the fragment.
