UNDERSTAND THE COMPOUND

What is BPC-157?

BPC-157 research includes experiments on connective-tissue cells and vascular responses to injury. In a 2014 study, tendon fibroblasts exposed to the peptide showed increased growth-hormone receptor expression and an altered response to growth hormone. A separate investigation examined endothelial cells, chick membranes and a rat hind-limb ischaemia model. It reported changes in VEGFR2 signalling, vessel formation and restoration of blood flow in the animal model. These are distinct experimental outcomes: receptor expression in cultured cells and circulation in injured rats do not demonstrate tendon repair or recovery in human patients.
